A little poem about the magic of Paris. :)
walk on the great bridges following the Seine
Enjoy a hot cup of café au lait
and have some escargots s'il vous plait
Chat with a street musician for a while
give him a euro or two, and make him smile
Ask him to play Sous le ciel de Paris
and embrace the tunes of music to your ear
Paris is a town so far away yet so near
Buy yourself a painting of exquisite taste
A self portrait perhaps? true talent will not waste
"Merci mon amour"
"I've truly had a very bon jour"
Word list:
The Seine = the river running through Paris
Café au lait = Coffee with milk
Escargots = Snails
S'il vous plait = Please/ Would you be so kind
Sous le ciel de Paris = Known french folkmelody. "Under Paris sky"
"Merci mon amour" = "Thank you my love"
Bon = Good/ Well
Jour = Day
