You're my hero

They say so many people can be a hero
But you never looked into the mirror
If you would you could see
The many times you have saved me
The times you were there
And I knew that you did care
The times I wanted to just die
But you held me while I would cry
There are many heroes on this earth
But you're mine because you were here with me since birth
I was always alone
My lonely side always shone
But since when you were with me
I began to see
My life turned around
I'm glad that I found
Someone who could understand
That I'm not just some creature on this land
That I can feel
Just as much as everyone can and my heart does to need to heal
I know you're a hero because you were there
And I knew you will always care
