a little to late
I was so much in love when you made me your wifeFull of dreams and hope and countless desires
You could do no wrong
My belief was so strong
That no man in the world could be better than you
It hurt me so bad to find this not true.
The fighting started and over the years
I hid all the bruises and cried many tears
Tried running away but had nowhere to run and many of nights I wished I had a gun
My smile disappeared my heart turned to stone I woke up one Morning and wanted you gone You told me you loved me and wanted to stay
that everyone changes in some kind of way
But can't you see
its a little to late for you and me
