Rain and tears. Personal experience.

Rain

Bombs explode
Raindrops in rippling puddles.
Living mirrors at my feet,
Deep enough to drown in.
Wind whips dark hair
And lashes of rain bind it to my skin.
Tears burn down a face
Frozen of emotion
Branded tracks of sorrow.
Cold,
Inside and out.
As the rain drips,
And quenches the last of the fire.
Limbs numb.
Unreal,
No longer can I feel. .
The missile kisses of icy steel.
