This poem is a rant which uses the commandments so I hope it qualifies
In the tail is a bit of fun to lighten the day.
Though Shalt Not Bear False Witness by M.A.Meddings an entry to the Ten commandements challenge
I voted for Tony Blair and believed everything he said about Iraq. I also listened to the opposition politicians who supported him and never raised a murmer except for a vociferous few because they too saw the opportunity to rid Iraq of what they described as a vile dictator.
Love him or not Blair stuck to his guns foolhardedly and his career was ruined because of it and since in the words of Enoch Powell
'All political careers end in failure' Blair is not alone. History will judge him .
Who will judge the politicians who were happy to aquiesce until the 'shit hit the fan'
Though shalt not bear false witness
Tell it to the politicians who told us Lies
Well if you like more or less.
Lets see
Saddam Hussein was a cruel dictator
Who was not to be trusted
Well no not now but when the politicians
Wanted to sideline the Ayattolahs
They gave him
all encouragement
Though shalt not bear false Witness
Iraq has weapons of mass destruction
Hidden away waiting to play their part
In twenty four hours they'll be in london parks
Absolute cast iron evidence
They have stockpiles
Our intelligence is good
Well so should it be
We have been watching
The situation develop for years
And we have our fears
For the people of Iraq
Interesting merely words
Go tell the kurds
whom we abandoned
Though shalt not bear false witness
Oh by the way whilst we are at it
Though shalt not covet
Anything that belongs to thy neighbour
Unless it his Oil of course
Then what is worse
than causing a fight
Bomb over night
Though shalt not covet anything
That is his
Unless its his Oil
But keep the soil
And if you fancy his wife
Please take a hike
God forgive me
I just remembered
Where I left my Bike
Lies
