The Dead leaves Of Autumn by M.A.Meddings

The dead leaves of Autumn

By M.A.Meddings

How will you handle this madness
How will you deal with the shame
How will you smother
Or hope to discover
Then gain your composure again

How will you forget all her beauty
And feeling the surge in your heart
The pain to discover
Her love for another
Then the descent that takes you apart

I will hide in the dead leaves of Autumn
I will defeat this beautiful tide
And deny and resist
They did ever exist
Then I’ll wait ‘til the feelings subside.

It's talented how you used the leaves of fall that are dry, weak and cold to picture such a feeling of disappointment towards your love.I enjoyed reading it.

The subject is disappointment, but the poem is very attractive.

Mike this is another tender, moving poem that touches the heart of me. Your expression of love loss and your questions of how to go on are beautifully expressed in the poem.
