Just a Thought

When you trust in ancient glories
You believe in the lies of the past
For the violent acts and cruelties
We turn into historical honors that last
Is torment so appealing when cloaked within a rhyme?
Rhetoric of heroic deeds to withstand the test of time
For lives come and are one day gone away
And thought of cheaply while they are here
Convinced in the lies of a better afterlife to come
So to justify the suffering of today

A good text. It is always important to reflect about these things, trying to learn something by the errors of the past.
Unfortunately, not many seem to do so.
Welcome to the Bay, Salvatore!
