I wrote this poem this morning about a  recurring dream of entertaining a pretty girl to afternoon tea at the Ritz hotel London.

Afternoon Tea at the Ritz by M.A.Meddings

In your wind blown tousled hair beauty
I saw you waiting there
At the bandstand in the park
As the raucious winds of March
Tore at your raincoat
And tested your umbrella

Then as you turned
I saw your eyes smile
And took your hand
Leading you arm in arm
Into  the four o clock crowds on Park lane
Making our way past Green park tube
To afternoon Tea at the Ritz

I feel the zip of the crisp, cold wind; the warmth of your hand, and we welcome of the Ritz. How nice to be here with you.

this is such a lovely encounter. I felt like I have such watched this endearing scene in a romantic movie. Let's see Audrey Hepburn and William Holden maybe. I want this to go on. : ) xx
