Play Me The Last Soleares by M.A.Meddings
The Soleares is a Flamenco form and is known as the Mother of all Flamenco since its rythm is the basis of a wide range of Flamenco pieces. The word is derived from the Iberian word Soldat ' a soulful longing. Hence the connotation that the Soleares is a piece to emit a soulful longing. In that format it becomes personal to the performer whos technique at guitar or song defines their own Soleares hence, Mi Solea, in which they purge the sorrow from their soul. The levante is a piece from Linares in Adalucia and in practice a funeral march.
Play me the last Soleares
by M.A.Meddings
Will you play me the last Soleares
Levante as they carry me down
They were not what they seem
These warm cyber dreams
Such fire, so intense, but true
But the moment I saw
What i'd waited for
I was defeated
By the beauty of you
