At First Glance

At first glace,
I saw a halo,
Instead of horns.
At first glance,
I saw sunshine and a rainbow,
Not lightning and clouds.
At first glance,
I saw heaven on earth,
Instead of hell.
At first glance,
I saw happiness,
And not tears.
At first glance,
I saw love.

you have written about something so many of us have experienced, be it with friends or someone we love romantically, you have written about it well..Getting past that first glance and seeing the person for who they are and finding something different is a heart wrenching let down.
