continuing my story
When really you gave me fifty percent
Just scroll back the reel
Then think how did I feel
I flew through the clouds to a chinese moon
Entwined in your arms in your cold winter room
We awed at the warriors and challenged the wall
Spoke of great emperors and then of their fall
Spring Festival time and Chinese New Year
Fireworks blazing but nothing to fear
I wondered then, but little was said
as you left me alone in our Beijing bed
And then it was time for me to depart
I was leaving you then with a heavy heart
You kissed me then, and I'll see you soon
I waved goodbye to the chinese moon
Across the waves a message came
I need Yuan, for I'm travelling again
As you both boarded the overnight train
Did you not think of your betrayal, my pain
In your costume of yellow, and hers of white
There's no doubt you both looked a happy sight
A pose for the lens with a backdrop of water
There was no thought of me or your lovely daughter
Weeks went on and it was all too soon
Your departure was due from the chinese moon
As you lay with your lady and pondered why
you cursed your fate and came home through the sky
Pacing the halls and hurling your curses
How could I respond to your come on gestures
You yelled and bellowed I want out of here soon
I knew it was her and your chinese moon
Alone here now in grief and despair
I know if I love you I have to do this
send you my blessing sealed with a kiss
One hundred percent I cannot give
until the charts say you've lived and let live

One Hundred Percent
When you stood there demanding one hundred percentWhen really you gave me fifty percent
Just scroll back the reel
Then think how did I feel
