As Blood Bleeds

Burdened in the dark, blackness
Covering my very mind from good
I lock my heart I keep it safe but all it does is
Make it worse.
I draw out my source of light
it dangles and tingles,
and makes me smile
Against my skin it turns some what red to my memory.
Again and again I'm burdened with
Blood, pain is nothing.
It seeps likes deltas across my scathing arm
And I admire my fine creation.
It drips like a river and forms an ocean around my weak body.
As my blood bleeds
I flow through life, what did I do.
My skin is torn and my wounds made plain,
I sit and stare at my little light,
Shines of silver fleck my face.
Whilst slashed openings borne bright crimson
Imprint my heart.
One last one to complete the set,
A death defying moment.

Ahhh... Your profile talks about "graphic and depressing texts" - I'd say you have a talent for expressing negative emotions. I know poetry comes from life, but I think you would do equally well with happier writes too. Happy thoughts make for happier living, and the past is the past. Dont let it affect your present or future... it is very bright.

This is a beautifully written text,

"I draw out my source of light
it dangles and tingles,
and makes me smile"

this is my favorite part.

Thanks for sharing this, and since I havent read you before, welcome to the bay!
