Crushed petal love by M.A.Meddings
I want to write you
A love song
On my knees
With head bowed
Inclined
bending
Slowly forward
Suitably reverent
But the words
Lie scattered
Like crushed Rose petals
Blown in the wind
And jumbled
Until I pick them up
And assemble them
Into meaningful
lines
a rose petal crushed
Irrevocably
latent realisation
Another dead in
Obvious vain
Ecstatic feelings
Memories of yesterday
Often returning through
Useless endearments
Crushed petal love
