This is for you amena, sometimes we forget the little things in a friendship are whats important. I hope you like it.
That we can sit across,
Separated by countries.
And share our thoughts on fall.
We've seen those drowsy dawns
Filter through talked out nights
Till the sunlight coaxed us to sleep,
in each others arms.
You know what's strange?
Is that we reached the perfect measure,
of being exactly different.
And distinctly same.
Remember chasing muddy streams?
On knobby knees through winding roads,
Kaleidoscopes reflected in speckled rain.
Glowing in the raindrops of our connecting fingertips.
You know its funny,
We've been friends for so long
But I still don't know the colour of your eyes.

Humming for Rhythm
You know what's funny? That we can sit across,
Separated by countries.
And share our thoughts on fall.
We've seen those drowsy dawns
Filter through talked out nights
Till the sunlight coaxed us to sleep,
in each others arms.
You know what's strange?
Is that we reached the perfect measure,
of being exactly different.
And distinctly same.
Remember chasing muddy streams?
On knobby knees through winding roads,
Kaleidoscopes reflected in speckled rain.
Glowing in the raindrops of our connecting fingertips.
You know its funny,
We've been friends for so long
But I still don't know the colour of your eyes.
