Fat Girl

Curvy, Volumpous, Big, Heavyset, Big-Boned, Chubby, Obtuse, Obese, Huge, Gigantic, Girth, Fat. Fat. Fat.

Delicate folds of skin, incasing my body, warmth, heat..security. Looking outside of myself, I do not like what I see. I have always been her..the Fat Girl. Teasing and Tormenting through life has made me cynical...untrusting...Friendship comes hard to the girl in the mirror. Raw, deep emotions aren't shared..I am the Fat Girl.

Commentally Ill
I am the crazy girl. They give me my 3 feet berth because they are scared it is contagious. Perhaps it is.

Labels are hurtful, and they suck. Your body is no more you, than your pinkie toe is your whole foot. You are far more than a sack of skin. :) A beautiful soul, here.

A great piece of work This is so true ,why can't some people just see the inner self instead of judging them by what they see (if they were blind would their opinion be the same ?).

chasingtheday The PoetBay support member heart!
i think most of the populations of first world countries are big these days, they certainly keep going on about it on the news anyway. a good subject matter, we should be just allowed to be who we are, not made to feel mad because we have a few pounds, but societys throws magazines at us saying hey, you should look like this!

i would suggest a little spacing with the poem here rather than having it just one block of text?

is volumpous a word? do you mean voluptuous?
