A brief - and a bit old-fashioned - poem about someone who realises that their desire to live is stronger than their fear of being left behind. One of my oldest poems, and it's not about myself.
I pray
For word to him that
I must stay
The stars rise high
So high
Farther than the sky
Soft sky
There they'll kiss my true
Love's face
And keep his soul safe in
My place...

The Message
Ere sunrise in the fieldsI pray
For word to him that
I must stay
The stars rise high
So high
Farther than the sky
Soft sky
There they'll kiss my true
Love's face
And keep his soul safe in
My place...
