This is about my childhood until my father finally moved away

Breaking through the darkness

In the silent darkness there's a little light beam
One made by the never dieing flame of a child's dream
This child held onto this dream through getting beat
Every night she slept in fear and woke to a tear soaked sheet
Always fearing the next day
The burning flame of the dream slowly faded away
As the child kept it in her heart not willing to let go
For her fear grew and more often started to show
She wanted to brake free of her life in the deep darkness of hell
These bruises on her body and no one was around for her to tell
Her tears would fall yet she still held on
She was on her own like a newly born fawn
Her dream started to fade away to less
This little girl still held on until her dream broke the darkness
The flame grew and finally made a new light
Morning turned from the endless night
Her dream weakened but in her heart stayed strong
Till she was finally free from all the wrong
