Wind Of Change by M.A.Meddings an entry to Zoya and alienas elements challenge
I bowed my head towards the wind
Then turned in the direction from whence I came
And found the will to go along the trail that led to you
The trail was long and dark at times
And the way strewn with thorns and yet
I bowed my head towards the wind
I had a mountain to climb to find you again
I was defeated in spirit for the hurt I caused
And found the will to go along the trail that led to you
But the winds of change that blew over me
Brought your smile your gentle presence tentively and
I bowed my head towards the wind
Then softly with those words of endearment I have
I felt you near not running away holding finger tip my hand
And found the will to go along the trail that led to you
Through shattered dreams within this storm rent autumn
I came slowly forth bearing my heart and then
I bowed my head towards the wind
And found the will to go along the trail that led to you
