[Song] Open your eyes, ears and hearts. [In memory of the Croc Hunter]
VERSE:Few care for those without a voice
Reptile, bird and mammal refugees,
Our pleasures their sentence for death
Now that we've almost cleared all the trees.
BRIDGE:
Indifference compounding all their pain
Pollution poisoning both air and ground,
Remove the blinkers, driven by financial gain
WAKE UP! to what's happening to the world around.
CHORUS:
Can't believe the selfish greed of man
causing this habitat destruction of our great land,
Open your eyes, open your hearts
Mother Nature needs our help, her spirit's crying
Help STOP! the unnecessary killings, our wildlife is dying
Open your ears, open your hearts.
VERSE:
It's happening more each day every year
Hectors razed under a bulldozers attack,
Raise your voice, Join the fight
Help give a chance for our bush to come back.
CHORUS:
Can't believe the selfish greed of man
causing this habitat destruction of our great land,
Open your eyes, open your hearts
Mother Nature needs our help, her spirit's crying
Help STOP! the unnecessary killings, our wildlife is dying
Open your ears, open your hearts.
BRIDGE:
Indifference compounding all their pain
Pollution poisoning both air and ground,
Remove the blinkers, driven by financial gain
WAKE UP! to what's happening to the world around.
CHORUS:
Can't believe the selfish greed of man
causing this habitat destruction of our great land,
Open your eyes, open your hearts
Mother Nature needs our help, her spirit's crying
Help STOP! the unnecessary killings, our wildlife is dying
Open your ears, open your hearts.
