lies and a grief.

here
in
my
core

dead skin,
empty
girl

clear eyes
black sky

I
am
not
still
running
from you,
from the night
pinprick sky
where holes starve the night
of love.

a chill descends
down my spine,
white- knuckled grievances.

would you notice

if I left
myself hanging
pendulum dangling

from your inner sanctum
where
you
dispel
the truth
and cling to lies
and a youth
sullied by years,
recollections of self-deception.

you tell yourself
what you want to hear,
now you run
from
your
fears.

but still
they are here.

Daybreaker
What images you declare! The pendulum and the pinprick sky. Beautiful. Keep up the good work!
