lies and a grief.
herein
my
core
dead skin,
empty
girl
clear eyes
black sky
I
am
not
still
running
from you,
from the night
pinprick sky
where holes starve the night
of love.
a chill descends
down my spine,
white- knuckled grievances.
would you notice
if I left
myself hanging
pendulum dangling
from your inner sanctum
where
you
dispel
the truth
and cling to lies
and a youth
sullied by years,
recollections of self-deception.
you tell yourself
what you want to hear,
now you run
from
your
fears.
but still
they are here.
