dull
I marvel at the dayswhen I got by without whiteness,
without this transparent
worn-thin hope
I now ingest.
I wish for an answer
to this
but
there
is
none.
O deliver me from
this emptiness,
this seemingly harmless
dullness.
I want to find another way
besides this
pay-as-you-go hell
(and surely you will pay)
this descent
into mercurous depths.
