I wrote this poem about my own mother, so I could show her how her children view her.

Mother

Mother

We are born and placed into a tender embrace of a mothers' loving arms. There we find comfort, love and security. As we grow mother is always there to encourage us, to teach us.

When we are sad or have lost our way, mother is there to comfort us. As she wipes our tears of sorrow away, she gives us the strentgh to find our way again.

When we are happy mother is there to share in our happiness, and to bask in our glow. Sometimes mother will see herself as a mere shadow of her children.

What mother doesn't see is how her children behold her.

Mother can do no wrong. She is the love that helped us grow into the people we are. We hold our mother sacred for she gave us life. Shes' our universe. In the eyes of her children. Mother is god.

The final stanza is a provocative mingling of infantile and adult perspectives!
