winter horrors
disfigured emotionsand helpless sex
just leaves me pensive;
restless.
the sky is blank again.
i blink as the world lurches,
sick with snow.
i feign compassion
as the whiteness
spreads
my mouth twists
into a barren
smile.
my eyes are nervous storm-clouds
settling, unsure
my gaze drifts silently
fixed obsessively
on the twisted labyrinth
of this mute
hell
