Road Warriors
MorningThe parking lot slick hard with
Packed snow crack snap brittle
Cold hint of Pink in the eastern sky
Clouds bellied mouse grey with promised snow
Large men in confident smiles and feed grain ball caps
dressed in oil stained brilliant orange
Striped in reflective white
Grab ass happy
Snortin steam while sippin Timmy's*
Big trucks, Fitted with sharp ploughs
Flashing yellow Beacons
Headlights catching firefly flakes
Obedient beasts waiting their handlers
Patiently idling poised to charge
Time to clear the roads again
* Tim Horton's is a Canadian coffee shop chain. The coffee is referred to as "Timmy's"
