Painted smile
For you I'd walk more then a mileUntil the rain washed away my painted smile
Down the drain it went with my love
You ran away when push came to shove
Left me alone to fight this battle by myself
Leaving my heart cold and broken on the very top shelf
While I kept this pain on for so long
It felt like you could do no harm; no wrong
The painted smile was on so long it left a stain
A horrid stain that left with it terrible pain
This stain might stay here for a long while
But still in the shadows you can see my painted smile
