Again inspired by Thomas's wonderful poem Darkness

Is Life.....[Another Thomas Perdue inspired poem]

Is life all
meaningless and despair?
Darkness and death?
It's true corruption rules
the hearts of many but not all.....

Thus despair and darkness
can't be all there is to life
for must, in those uncorrupted hearts,
there dwell hope and light?

Hope.....for a meaning to life
and
Light.....that life is good and beautiful?

If literature and education has the power
to corrupt and destroy,
seperate and divide,
does it not also,
then have the power to
unify and create?

For death and darkness to exist
there must be life and light

.....Otherwise how can we
see beauty in the world around us?

You are so right liz, yin yang, you don't go up without coming down, it is all about balance and life does balance things out for us, even if we don't think so. Like the butterfly effect, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Great little philosophical poem, thank you for reminding us. Sometimes adults need young people like you and thomas and other I have met along the way, with your fresh and clear visions to put us back on track. The way forward for humanitiy in my eyes, is for us all to work on our own lives individually and gradually, the effect will reach out across our world. We do need to balance our resources more evenly though. food shelter and human rights for all is a good start.

Smiling at you,

Tai

Conflicting powers - good and evil - exist all around. Oh, but for the joy of seeing and knowing...
