There are a few rare moments in life that remain etched in our memory as beautiful landscapes. The magic of those moments over time takes on the quality of a fairy-tail-of-our-own, filling us with joy, lifting up our soul...

The Crimean Shores

On the Crimean Shores
The moonlit shiny beach
Washed by dainty waves
Of calm Black Sea
Serene
As in a mid-summer-night's-dream
World bathed in a magical haze
Skylarks curled up in their nests
Gaze
As we bathe
In cool waters of the bay
We are in ecstasy
Of togetherness
Free...

These moments stolen from fate
Linger sweetly in my soul
Stirring memories of yore
The touch of gentle waves
Caressing my naked skin
Linger even today
In the sweetest of ways
I close my eyes
And to this day
The fragrance of sea breeze
Takes my breath away...

And I know
What dreams are made of?
How fairy tale are thought of
How imagination takes a flight
Conjures up a magic
That enraptures us a while...

Blessed are those images
That can be called to fore
From the treasure-house of memory
To ease our troubled souls
Like a balm on a sore...

That was gorgeous, dear Zoya!
In the end, memories are what remain of our lives, so it's worth printing them out, right?
Thanks for reading me ;)

And, you're right! I read your work 'Crimean Shores', and it does indeed remind me of 'Clear Water'. Crimean Shores is WONDERFUL I love it! Excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT work! Zoya it was wonderfully and truly refreshing!

Please keep writing, your work refreshes the heart and wonderfully stirs the soul...

Your words are truly 'cool water' in a barren land...

Powerful, compelling and majestic...

Shakespeare wrote...'One sees more hills in the brow of Egypt, the lover, the lover, the poet and the madman. And it is so true, that we poets can evoke any memorable scene, so that it, in turn, is dramatised into such wonderful poetry... Forever love, dear Zoya...Forever write...Ron.

I love these lines, "And I know / What dreams are made of? / How fairy tale are thought of." They speak of a revolution in a me. With your permission, I'd like to take your poem and edit/revise it and give it back to you. May I?

Just a wonderful, great poem!
"As we bathe
In cool waters of the bay
We are in ecstasy
Of togetherness
Free..."

Love in the special settings of nature, memories, they can have so much power!

entangled in the dreamy spell of your words i've become...into a shadowy part of my mind your shore has crept, for me to go to when i need some relief from my strife...

aye to memory being a fairy tale life, in some, but there is also the other side of the coin with it, it can be a nightmare to those who have suffered when young. but i am being negative ;) here you show the beauty of the good.
