snapshot at a bus stop

The Bus Never Stops Here

Vacant Madonna and crying child in silent waiting.
Old man, shoes worn, in resigned isolation.
Stolid acceptance in his eyes.
Students in colors with strident
Movements in studied nonchalance.
Man, lunch box under a torn jacketed dirt polished arm;
smokes mechanically,
Drift wood and flotsam.
unseen, unwanted in the rain.
Invisibly portraited in white noised traffic.
