Inspired by Thomas Perdue's "Love Is Often Like Roses" It is a collection of renga's although when I started writing it I was not following a certain poetry form.

Expelling Darkness [ A Thomas Perdue Inspired Poem]

Like the mortal gardener
does tend to mortal flowers

Nurturing, helping them to
grow under his loving care.....

So too do we, Immortal
lovers care to our true love

So it's fire continues
to grow, Expelling darkness

Dark nightmares can't hold us back
created by disbelief

Of others who are jealous
of our love which burns eternal.
