We never really grow up where love is concerned ...

School Girl Love

I tried to love you ...

You said no ...

I yearned to hold you ...

You said go ...

I prayed that fate give your heart to me ...

When you over heard, you shrugged your shoulders and said, let me be ...

Like a foolish schoolgirl I loved you ...

I grew to hate you ...

You begged no ...

I pushed you from me ...

This is the path you chose ...

I prayed that fate teach me to forgive

Her words to me ... child take it slow ...

For like a schoolgirl ... you have truly loved...

nice poem.
love, in this age. truely painful.

we all go through this "schoolgirl love"...and although it is painful, it teaches us a lot about ourselves and about those around us...the only point is to listen to fate's words, as you did...and then maybe, just maybe, next time it will be easier...
