Chemistry Class
He sits in the back, gazing at her
She forgot to change her Away Message this morning
He loves it when she wears that shirt
She put her hair in a ponytail today
And she's wearing the rubber bracelet he gave her
But she doesn't even turn her head
She gets up to go to the bathroom
He pretends to be writing notes
But still looking out of the corner of his eye
She passes right by him
Not even one glance in his direction
He doesn't even exist anymore
Totally invisible through her eyes
He swallows deeply
His heart drops again
They were so close
Now total strangers
He averts his attention back to lecture
"And if one molecule becomes weaker than the other,
then the ionic bond can break very easily..."
