I Danced For Sonny And Cher
I danced for Sonny and Chereveryone saw me there
out on the stage
I was all the rage
tossing my long long hair
faster and faster I danced
in my bell bottom hip huggin pants
I did all the moves
the twists and the groves
the jerk and the pony prance
Sonny was short and sang high
Cher was nearer the sky
But her voice was low
and she was the star of the show
Till my hips caught the drummers eye
Then he would roll and thump
And I would grind and bump
Sonny grumbled
Cher mumbled
And I would shake my rump
That drummer and I got hot
the crowd was high on pot
Sonny cought on
Cher was gone
So the drummer and I took a shot
We drummed and danced for hours
The crowd threw us flowers
Sonny and Cher
Passed out in their chairs
And had to be thrown in the showers
In the days when I had long long hair
It was at the Kentucky State Fair
For one great show
I want you to know
I danced for Sonny and Cher
