Words.

Words hold so many meanings and
They can be interpreted so many different ways.
"I love you" for example, can gladden the heart of the receiver
If it is a mutual feeling and returned,
But if it isn't or it the one you wish
To say it to you says it to another,
It can be devastating.

Friendship too can be taken so many different ways with its meaning,
There are so who believe it to be false, due to being hurt before,
So they distant themselves from any signs of friendship,
Then, there are those who couldn't live without it
And believe it holds the threads of life together.
Again it depends on your perspective,
Whether you have been hurt by it or not.

This poem too can be interpreted different ways,
Some may take it literal,
some take words to heart
and some would ponder the meaning behind the words.
However you interpretate these words and their meanings,
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read them.
