When your creative well is dry you'll resort to mud if that's all you have
I'm reading some poems that are really neat
I want to write some too but I can find a beat
cause I'm so distracted by my cold feet
I've tried a few lines but they're pretty bland
None sound new, they all seem canned
Lord won't you inspire me and give me a hand
My feet are cold and these lines won't stand
Now my toes are icy and I still can't write
Maybe I'll stop for a minute and fix myself a bite
But procrastination won't fly this kite
So I'll just rub my toes and write for spite
Well I've been in the basement since quarter past two
I've written some words into a poem for you
My nose is running and my feet are blue
But I learned spell dictionary and thesaurus too
