And for something completely different an attempt to describe the first  blood rush of falling in love

Just Like The Running of Bulls in Pamplona by M.A.Meddings

There was  no way to stop this
No way to deny the passion
Just like the running of bulls in Pamplona
It became me!
With its raw tenderness
For once I saw you smile it was inevitable
There was no preventing it
It became the overpowering instinct
And in helpless need I came to you
Surrendered  to your need of me
Then in gentle contemplation I reflected
On that carefree beautiful abandon
Standing close to the flame
I walked the enchanted pathway
As the adrenilin flowed
And I dicovered that wondrous excitement
Just like the running of Bulls in Pamplona

A wonderful description of the ambush of new love. By the way, do you run with the bulls or run away from them? I've never understood why people have wanted to do that knowing they could be badly hurt or killed. But I do understand sheer excitement and getting carried away by it so that whatever source of the rush, we give ourselves to it completely. I've done that in cars, going way too fast in a race, forgetting all possible dangers or consequences, just me, my opponent and speed. And yes, that is so very much like the first rush of love when I met my husband. I just couldn't help it. He took my heart and told it when and how hard to beat. So I guess I do understand the bull thing after all. I just do it iwith cars.

like the Bulls -- love has the strength and capacity to run you over ... and you must take care as you run along side it ... because it will not take any concideration to anyone than itself .. and so we run along as it gives us the sense of life ... were nothing is no more than just that instant ........ close, so close to eternity .......

This is beautiful Michael. I love the description you used by comparing it to the excitment of running with the bulls. I can imagine it would be quite thrilling to be in love that way. Although, i would personally never run with, by, or behind a bull, I would rather enjoy loving in such a thrilling way.

it can be like that, indeed...overwhelming...allpowerful feeling...crushing any other inner thoughts...i've been there, and that moment of realising what is going on it feels like falling from a cliff up-high and suddenly realising you can fly...for god endowed our souls with love's beautiful wings...

Mmmmm it is all in the adrenaline for sure Mike, falling is the key word in love me thinks. Been there, done that, now I just want to nurture friendship and if love develops, all well and good. We love our friends too, but not quite in the way your beautiful descriptive poem shows us. My late husband wanted to run in that bull festival the year before he died, I stopped him and I wish I hadn't, it was an ambition, we should all try and do the things we want to in life and I will never put someone off again.

Smiling at you,

Tai
