Do you know yourself?
Where you place your care,
The friends you choose,
Caring whether you win or lose,
What are your fears?
What causes the tears,
You keep inside?
What is your guide?
Do you know yourself?
Do you know,
Your worst foe?
Or your deepest secrets,
Do you put on the ritz,
For everyone around you,
What you do,
What you want,
Are you the keeper of a haunt,
That condemns you?
Do you answer honest and sincere,
And lend an ear,
When you speak?
Or are you to weak,
To afraid of what you might learn,
That will ultimately cause you to burn,
Do you know yourself?
Are you good or bad?
Happy or sad?
Poor or filled with wealth?
Do you know yourself?
Sometimes the hardest thing to decode,
Putting you in opposition mode,
Is yourself!
