Would you be me
Would you traverse unknown landsEndure the heat of burning sands
And would you dare feathered nest to flee
Would you partake of bitter fruit
Sate your thirst immersed in truth
Revealing to all everything you be
Would you reveal from whence you came
Discard the robes that hide your shame
In wish to chains of bondage be set free
Would you lay down your armoured shield
Walk naked through derisive fields
Uncaring others would your faults now see
Would you at last bow your head
Share with others honest bread
Then you my friend walk that path with me
