Embrace

Embrace of life, my friends I ask
Teach your heart to soar on high
And be you equal to the task
One day you too may touch the sky

Embrace of love, all ye who would
And not with love play foolish games
Be as honest with love as you should
Or you will eat the burnt remains

Embrace of all, of nature's plight
Hold her close now, while you can
For her demise is in plain sight
Her only crime, her trust of man

Embrace of time, and all it means
As it do silently slip by
Do not regret all those lost dreams
But dream anew, not pause to cry

Embrace those feelings deep within
And not waste of effort, or your time
Pretending you know not of sin
As slipping mask reveals your crime

Embrace of honesty and trust
Tho' some in lies will ever be
As falsehoods, to you tell they must
For they be blind and cannot see

Embrace of all that is of you
Fear not that you be second best
For if onto yourself be true
Know that in life, you passed the test
