we quest for recognition.

invisible tears

Then...i cried,
an unconscious cry,
a cry of confirmation,
that I'm here, alive
and with the living.

I cried
as one in need of comfort.
An innocent cry,
unaware of its meaning.

But i cried,
to fulfill humanity's demand.
An infant's cry
for acceptance
into a new world.

Now...i cry,
a conscious cry
a cry for a cause,
a cause born of purpose,
a purpose driven by desire,
a desire powered by passion.

I cry again,
louder than the chorus
of victorious soldiers
in the camp
of their enemies.

I cry again,
unbending my ears
to mothers calls
for a home coming.

Then....i shed visible tears
for acceptance into the world.
Now.....i shed invisible tears
for recognition of who i am.

Individuality
ellipses - the dots ... three is the correct number to use to show a continuation of thought.
humanities demand - humanity's demand, as demand belongs to humanity, humanties would be plural.
infants cry - infant's cry - cry belongs to the infant so an apostrophe is used.
to cry is to be human, tears serve a purpose in all our lives, a release of emotional build up. a good poem.
