A true story of an accident that happened on the freeway just outside our town, one month ago on a beautiful Saturday that turned out very, very sad.

Crimson Asphalt

Rachael, speeding high on crystal meth
crimson asphalt
melting, blending
instant death.

Crashing through the freeway wall
grinding four lives
inferno reeks
killing all.

No more parties, Rachael, you're all done.
body in flames
strobe lights blinking
no more fun.

Blood and body parts fusing roadway
melding as one
your face is gone
hell to pay.

Party on, girl, laughs turn into screams
that echo here
and fill this night
devil's dream.

RedAquarius
Severe imagery - great usage to really paint a picture. I could envision easily, specially "blood and body parts fusing roadway". Chilling.

Individuality
alas life is full of tragedy, people become disillusioned and resort to drug taking which of course leads to more manic behaviour. sad to know this is a true story/poem. grief will be wailing still in families.
