Illicit relationship.

Falling

I fell into those liquid pools of lies
I fell as flake of snow to fiery hell
Falling headlong to my hearts demise
For her I would my very soul to sell

Seeking love elusive to all men
The harlot and the angel unified
My reasons though obscure I would defend
As my sad reality I triy to hide

I fell through chasms eternal in their shame
I fell until my falling was complete
No more would I ever be the same
At one with loveless lust and cruel deceit

Bereft my shield of golden honesty
Devoid of palisades or castle keep
For her I would abandon sanity
As waterfalls traverse unsmiling cheek

With her I shared a union never known
The predator and prey now intertwined
My mantle of truthfulness outgrown
The grape I drank perished on the vine.

Yes I fell as would a falling star
Falling as an angel from his grace
No nore to ne the love of ladies fair
As in the falling devils kissed my face

Brendan
