Who Will Defend Me?
Who will take my partwhen others won't defend me?
Who will help me stand straight
when life wants to bend me?
Who will hold my hand
when fear wants to overtake me?
Who will tell me truth
when someone tries to fake me?
My family will come
and take their stand beside me.
My family will come
and fight those who deride me.
My family will come
and walk me through the dark.
My family will come
and douse the gossip spark.
A family means love
without judgemental bounds.
A family means hope
not set on doubting grounds.
A family means mercy
without adding conditions.
A family means home
without charging addmission.
