The Right to Write

Why do we force ourselves to write
whenever the words won't come?
Is it to place ourselves in sight -
to be admired by some?

If you really have nothing to say
keep to yourself till you do.
Words will never to truth give way
if to yourself you're not true.

And you most definately have a point here. Some days the words kind of just flows out and then yet another... nothing.
But if I have those "nothing-days" I'll write..well, nothing. :)
Well said!

well, i usually write when i have something to say... but it does happen at times that i write just my random thoughts (ramblings series is that, really)... and funny, some of my better appreciated texts are the ones that i just forced myself to write... so, i don't know... can't tell... but when you say force words to write, what strikes you as inconstructive or not staying true to the self? you opened my curiosity with this write, now :) another thought-provoking text... really got me thinking which as you've probably guessed is something i enjoy to do a lot hehe :) ... thanks :) *hugs* xx

betsy, words give way to truth even if you are not. Because illusion is a reality and reality an illusion. Nothing absolute in life. thoughtful really.

sometimes the words come in phrases,
sometimes they come in pictures,
sometimes they come
one
at
a
time
and then
sometimes
they won't come at all.
I really don't like those times...do you?

This has me inspired. Thanks Betsy

Good job! For me though, sometimes just because a poem comes hard doesn't mean it won't be good... ? :-,?
