which reminded of the [one of them lol :)) ] poem Thomas Perdue
wrote for me "I could Tell You"
For Thomas Perdue :)
~L.~
I do not Ask/All I Really Need [Is Your Love.]
I do not ask forprecious diamonds
or glittering jewels,
I do not ask for
bars of gold
or expensive jewellery.
All those things that
some deem as "must-have's"
I do not want or ask for.
If all those things were
all that mattered to me, then,
I would be very poor indeed.
For what good would it do
to have all those things,
if I did not have you?
You are more precious then
any rare diamond or jewel
You are worth so much more
then your weight in gold
You shine brighter then the most
expensive jewellery's polished shine
All I really need is
someone to hold my hand
as time causes it to age.
All the wishes I could ask for,
I already have been granted.
All I really need
Is YOU
All I really need
Is YOUR LOVE
All you really need
Is ME
All you really need
Is MY LOVE.
All WE really need
Is Us,
All WE really need
Is OUR LOVE,
Everything precious
WE have right now,
OUR ETERNAL BOND.
Dispite adversity, Our LOVE
stronger continues to grow
