This poem is all about symbolism.
Sits lonely by the cabin door
Before, you wash up in the sink
And stare down at it from the couch
Your comfy couch, so warm and soft
That just came in, into the loft
Defines the place where you now are
And though the letter may be far
You just might see what it is for
You heave a full breath as you rise
You notice that you smell of meal
A sizzled porkloin splashed with spice
That might have been cooked far too long
But warm and tasty, it returns
And fills your nostrils as it burns
The letter greets you looks of mirth
But hastily, thrown on the hearth
And burns the ink along with seal

A Letter Written In Green Ink
A letter written in green inkSits lonely by the cabin door
Before, you wash up in the sink
And stare down at it from the couch
Your comfy couch, so warm and soft
That just came in, into the loft
Defines the place where you now are
And though the letter may be far
You just might see what it is for
You heave a full breath as you rise
You notice that you smell of meal
A sizzled porkloin splashed with spice
That might have been cooked far too long
But warm and tasty, it returns
And fills your nostrils as it burns
The letter greets you looks of mirth
But hastily, thrown on the hearth
And burns the ink along with seal
