Until There Was You
Somedays I'd leave the bread out to give satisfaction to the gulls up highSomedays they'd leave the bread alone to mold and grow in putrid cries
Somedays the gulls would peck away, but deem the meal a meanless give
Somedays there'd be no bread at all, else I would not for me to live
Quite simply, some were bad
Some were horrid, made me sad
Nothing fancy, nothing long
Just as simple as the day is wrong
Somedays the streets were full of life, the sun was out in bloom
Somedays the rain would pound so hard, they'd bring a virus pending doom
Somedays the air was so a-chill, my toes would pay the cost of life
Somedays the air was so damned warm, my pores would battle wars and strife
Quite simply, I was screwed
Everyday, I waked in nude
You couldn't distance me from a smile
But you could do it for a while
Until, of course...
