The leaves and grasses are growing. They serve to cover up the garbage and waste which has been so visible during the Winter months. We now have Spring, the birds are building nests, and rabbits are a-burrowing. Please give them a chance.

April

April's here again and how!
What else can we say but WOW!
How many of you have a blackbird tame,
a singing thrush comes again and again....

A tiny wren who wrings the heart with his song,
to who does all this Glory belong?

Bluetits and sparrows
pierce my heart with arrows
as I wonder
at the wonder
of the Eternal Love.

Bluebells spilling out of the ground,
they just appeared, without a sound!
A Glory of nature, it can't be denied,
but my robin died
I just sat and cried.

Please go out and collect your waste,
to do not so is a lack of taste
and ignorance, and arrogance too
garbage makes dodos of me and you.

A precious jewel is this earth of ours,
with a wealth of grass and lovely flowers.
It's becoming a wasteland of crap and plastic,
our attitude evil and something drastic!

Very often these days, I find myself picking
up
packing from chicken, "finger-licking" good!
If only folk would do what they should!
Pick up others garbage, and don't leave litter -
you might save the life of an innocent critter!

You get my vote on this one, I hate litter as there is no need for it in this day an age, I do enjoy a poem with a message so well done.

How I love this April song,
Full of hope of life buried long,
Under the snow all winter long...

I also have a few birds
Coming every spring in herds
To my garden and sing along
With the Earth renewing its song...

(((Hugs for the lovely spring song dear normalil!)))
Love, Zoya
