Of The Heart.
Do you take the pain of solitudeAnd lay it on the line
Or even that of sorrow
As some other kind of sign
Do you take the tears that fall as one
Upon a point in time
Or mix them with such heartache
As to say that this is mine
Do we seek such pain with pleasure
That we cannot tell apart
Or even start to segregate
The portions of the heart
Give to me the succour
That absolves the heart from pain
Stem for me the tears that fall
As that of falling rain
Forgive me for the sins I cause
In that I seek in love
As no other can from innocence
As that from up above.
