My ethereal moon

My ethereal moon.

On the other side of a passing moon lay a secret twilight place
Where poetic angels gathered penning rhyme
Midst clouds of magic, a room enchanted with a silent grace
And in the window a candle made of time
With beating heart and sinful soul, I gaze in rapturous awe
In wonder of this mystic, serene glow
And as I hear a lilting voice, for the first time I now saw
Angels I would come at last know
And in their hands multi-coloured baskets full of dreams.
The hopes and wishes of all, too long blue
They move through lives so silently, like a soft embalming breeze
In mission to make impossible dreams come true.

And in the distance I espy chariots of gold
Drawn by unicorns of many shades
A caravan from distant worlds banners flying bold
A celestial troop of heavens cavalcade
They bear aloft a star so bright I shade my earthly eyes
Now sprinkling stardust on all I can see
And voices so soft beckon me, as lure to honest cries
As Angel tug my heart, enchanting me
They tell of love, of pain, of loss, some with haloes crowned with thorns
Revealing truths in thoughts beyond compare
My heart of stone is crumbling, and I am now reborn
For I am now amongst good souls who care

And in the true magnificence of all that came to pass
I gave my soul for all perpetuity
Emboldened by the stardust, I would set to my new task
My quill dipped in the ink of honesty
My sinner's path is bent askew with many erring turns
And all the mountains I have failed to scale
But now I am befriended by an honesty that burns
As angels good would truth to me avail
And when I grow my wings of golden silk and magic lace
I shall, with all the love I know, be true
Shelter friends from sadness in my ever-warm embrace
And soar as I now fly through sky's so blue.
