A song I wrote. Sounds a lot better on piano then it does on paper.
You lost it too
Your heart is broken
And so are you
Your face is red
Ashamed to find
Me standing here
Reading your mind
But lovely now
You're young indeed
Your eyes are distant
But on their feet
So listen close
Obey your calm
Your heart will return
Before too long
I know you're tired
Without a care
You pick up the phone
And nobody's there
But soon the call
That alters change
Will ring you up
And kill the pain
Open your mind
And feel the breeze
The rushing passions
That softly squeeze
Cuz in the end
The trumpets play
The blizzard warms
The night is day
And only you, my son
You will remain
In love again
Without this pain
